Over the past few years, Florida Community Association Boards have been challenged to navigate through the complex Florida Legislative & Insurance Requirements along with multiple hurricanes which have impacted our state and communities.
This is a lot to ask of Owners who volunteer many hours of their time to serve on Boards, with no financial compensation, to address the realities of meeting the requirements of Florida Legislative & Insurance while also balancing the financial needs of their communities.
Running an Association is like running any business, where the Board is the “Board of Directors” responsible for running the Associations activities for both near term and longterm success.
We work alongside Boards and Owners in assisting Boards in the development of comprehensive plans to improve the performance of the Association.
For the past 5 years, we have been on the Board of our FL condominium building as Directors, Treasurers and Building Presidents.
We have been successfully in leading our Board and Owners through meeting the complex legislative and insurance requirements imposed on us by the State of Florida.
Last year our building suffered significant damage from Hurricanes Helene and Milton.
We were able to come together as a strong community to “weather the storms” and bring our building back to a sound condition. Some have commented that “we are stronger than before”.
Our goal at DMC is to help underperforming Boards meet the challenging demands of Florida Legislative and Insurance requirements.
